System One I & C Engineer in Collinsville, Oklahoma
System One is seeking an I & C Engineer for a manufacturer in the Tulsa area.
Responsibilities:
Have general knowledge of boilers, including instrumentation and control concepts.
Generate ISA data sheets, instrument indexes, and logic drawings.
Use AutoCAD software to create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and boiler trim drawings.
Generate and maintain department documents using Microsoft Excel and Word.
Organize documents both physically and electronically.
Read and apply customer specifications when developing control systems and selecting instruments.
Design electrical control systems according to recognized codes and standards (NFPA 85, ASME, ISA, NEMA, UL, etc.).
Assist other department personnel with Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for control systems.
Collaborate with department members and other company departments to resolve job-related concerns.
Act as the sole engineer for an entire project or share responsibilities with other engineers.
Adhere to existing departmental standards and contribute to the development of future standards.
Essential Job Qualifications:
Hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or a Bachelor of Technology Degree with a focus on instrumentation, control devices, and programmable logic/automation controllers.
Have one to five years’ experience designing electrical control systems (e.g., pump control, level control, burner management systems (BMS), combustion control systems (CCS), distributed control systems (DCS), nuclear control systems, etc.). This may be considered in lieu of education.
Have a strong understanding of both discrete and analog control principles and logic.
Possess a general understanding of boilers.
Have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Have excellent time management and organizational skills.
Have advanced skills in Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD.
