System One Electro-Mechanical Technician in East Hanover, New Jersey
SUMMARY
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment such as belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications
Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements
Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and vernier
Read and interpreted electrical schematics. Wire the electrical systems (single and three phase)
Wire panels, relays, and fuses. Work with 110 volt and 220 volt AC systems and with 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems
1st shift, M-F, 6AM – 2:30PM
QUALIFICATIONS
HSD/GED required; Associates degree preferred in electronics/electrical or related field
3+ years of related experience in a similar role
Clear and comprehensive communication in English (written/verbal) required
Basic mathematic and numeracy skills required
PLC, DCS, VFD experience strongly preferred
Available for on-call duty
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and stand for continuous periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy and high volume machine production area
Ability and willingness to work safely and wear PPE as required
