System One Research Scientist in Exton, Pennsylvania
Job Title: Research Scientist
Location: Exton, PA
Type: 6 Month Contract to Direct Hire
Start: Immediate
Responsibilities:
Perform protein expression and purification using mammalian, or other expression systems. Execute established protocols to produce recombinant proteins, ensuring high yield and purity. Troubleshoot and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
Conduct analytical techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, BLI, ELISA, and chromatography to assess protein quality and quantity. Perform protein stability studies, including thermal denaturation, freeze-thaw, and aggregation analysis.
Maintain detailed laboratory records, including experimental protocols, data analysis, and observations. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and summaries of experimental findings for internal use and regulatory submissions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including molecular biologists, biochemists, and analytical scientists, to support project objectives. Communicate experimental plans, results, and interpretations effectively within the team and across departments.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning through regular maintenance and calibration. Adhere to laboratory safety protocols, including the handling of hazardous materials and the proper disposal of waste. Contribute to the organization and cleanliness of the laboratory workspace.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, or related discipline with 4+ years of industry experience OR MS with 2+ years of industry experience OR PhD with 0-2 years of experience in industry or academia.
Protein purification experience is a must.
Ability to work in a collaborative professional environment

Mammalian cell culture experience
