System One Infrastructure Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Title: Sr. Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration : 6 plus months

Job Summary:

Install, configure, and support an organizations local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and Internet system or a segment of a network system.

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct staff to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.

• Review and approve the planning and implementation of network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.

• Review and approve the design, configuration and testing of computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.

• Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and counsel organization on where changes will need to be made in the future.

• Present system flow diagrams to organization and review and approve systems procedures.

• Supervise systems implementation.

• Supervise and assist in computer networking and computer operation functions

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time.

• Strong ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.

• Strong knowledge of networking computer hardware and software

Education/Experience:

• High School Degree and Bachelors degree in data processing /related field or equivalent work experience required.

• 6-8 years experience required

Key responsibilities:

  1. Serve as Lead Engineer, responsible for operational oversight, maintenance, and administration of IPC and Verint Call Recording systems, and ensuring redundancy, fault tolerance, and data integrity are fully operational.

  2. Lead system upgrades and migrations.

  3. Demonstrate mastery in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Verint solutions, provide expert-level guidance to other team members, and serve as escalation point for peers, traders, and external business units.

  4. Lead collaborative working sessions with cross-functional teams to improve system performance.

  5. Independently perform routine system checks to ensure peak performance in the environment.

  6. Through extensive prior experience, identify deficiencies in environment configuration and make recommendations to management for design and architecture improvements to further system reliability.

  7. Develop, implement, and document best practices for system maintenance and operation.

    Must have technical skills/experience:

    IPC or Verint Call Recording systems

    Proficient in system troubleshooting and problem resolution.

    Strong understanding of telecommunication and VoIP systems.
