Primary Function
This position supports a variety of live events, studio, and field productions. Working as a part of a technical team, the Production Technician is required to set-up, troubleshoot, operate, and strike equipment resources for successful capture, completion and delivery of projects and events. We are seeking someone specifically with an eye for the camera, and has a reel to demonstrate quality video storytelling, well-framed and well-lit capture
Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000
Duties & Responsibilities
Work cooperatively with production teams of all sizes to deliver the highest possible quality production or event
Work at the highest level of customer service, considering high visibility on-camera talent
Perform set-up, testing, operation and break down of sophisticated audio and video equipment
Assess the type of production and desired aesthetic result, and recommend cameras, lenses, lighting, locations, and other resources
Operate video and still cameras; manage equipment setup and testing, and shoot with attention to detail and eye for the edit
Using fixed or standalone equipment, set up and test lighting gear for optimal capture
Independently set up and operate control room to facilitate studio, auditorium productions or webcasts
Record sound and live mix for studio and field productions
Operate prompters, playback, and other roles in a control room setting
Understand signal flow and perform technical directing/switching for live and recorded events
Organize equipment inventory and find creative solutions for most effective use of equipment, In support of global productions, prepare equipment for shipping & delivery
Travel will be required and will be 10% on average but with peaks during throughout the year as high as 30%

Skills & Qualifications
Outstanding customer service orientation including professional presence and superior client relationship skills
Able to adapt and perform well in a deadline-driven, executive-level environment
An overall understanding of the live program production process is necessary and a strong sense of urgency in solving customer requests to ensure timely resolution is critical
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of systems, tools and procedures related to modern event and video production, and streaming video equipment and processes
Proficient in live, in-person, and hybrid events with experience working within a control room and studio environment
DoP/camera operation skills; working familiarity with professional cameras by Blackmagic, Sony, Panasonic, RED, Canon, and similar
Knowledge of lighting techniques and instruments
Experience working with cloud-based media management solutions, e.g., AWS S3, Microsoft Azure, Adobe Team Projects/Productions, etc.
Solid comprehension of video file formats and codecs, video file transcoding
Familiarity with a Yamaha LS9 board and Shure wireless mic systems preferred
Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, specifically Adobe Premiere
Willingness to learn and keep current with client’s proprietary equipment and applications
Must work well in teams and be comfortable both giving direction and receiving it from others yet at times able to shoot independently without supervision
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Video & Film, Media, Marketing, Communications, IT, or similar field preferred
5 years’ experience with digital video production workflow and tools
5+ years’ work experience in broadcast television production, corporate communications, live events, and/or streaming video
Hands-on experience supporting corporate productions, events, broadcasts, and content storytelling
